Thierry lives in Paris, France where he studied graphic art. He worked for Bayard-Presse and became the Art Director of the magazine Youpi and illustrated for the magazine Popi.
In 1992, when his son Adrien was born, he decided to concentrate on illustrating his own work. This is when he created his beloved character T'Choupi-a round, sweet boy-penguin and his univers. He created more than 30 toys and products for little ones with this characters and in 1997 T'Choupi books were launched with Jeux-Nathan in France.
By 2005, 89 titles were published with sales of over 6 million copies. There has also been an animated movie, DVD, and TV program starring T'Choupi.
Thierry has also written and illustrated books for many major French and American publishers including Bayard Jeunesse, Centurion, Nathan Jeunesse, Simon & Schuster, Harper Collins, Penguin US. |
