As a child I drew pictures a lot and everywhere. In high school I was the “artsy” girl. I then graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Since then I have illustrated several kid’s books: How Prudence Proovit Proved the Truth About Fairy Tales, Cat Poems, No Plain Hair, There Once Was a Very Odd School, AA is for Aardvark, and A is for Zebra are some of them. I’ve also illustrated packaging and editorial materials, and juvenile texts for various companies and publications such as The New York Times, Scholastic, Grosset & Dunlap, Dutton, Simon & Schuster, Boyds Mills Press, JW Pet Company, and Highlights magazine. I have held book signings and readings at schools, book fairs and bookstores. I even had a gallery show at a Chapin school in Princeton, NJ showing some of my kid’s book original art.
Recently I have been working on a couple of new kid’s books, as well as on some of my own “artsy” projects.. |
