Mike Lester is the award-winning illustrator of fourteen picture books, including A IS FOR SALAD, which he also wrote, (a New York Times Best Illustrated Book and National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award for Book Illustration), NINETY-THREE IN MY FAMILY (National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award for Book Illustration 2007) and COOL DADDY RAT (National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award for Book Illustration 2009). Winning 3 Reuben Awards is kind of like winning 3 Oscars! Mike is also an editorial cartoonist. He lives in Rome, Georgia, with the love of his life, Regan, and their cats, Roy and Charlie.
