Recently transplanted from Brooklyn to the New Jersey woods, Mary Bono lives
with her husband and two cats, and works in the log cabin which will soon be their home. Mary uses a variety of materials to build dimensional artwork, which she
then photographs. For Easy Street (by Rita Gray, coming in June 2006), real dirt
and gravel help demonstrate the road-building process. Kirkus Reviews called her first book, UGH! A Bug, "a delightfully fun look at the creatures of the outdoors" -creatures who continue to inspire and, occasionally, annoy her. |
