LON LEVIN is an award-winning designer, art director, illustrator, writer and photographer.

In over twenty years in the entertainment industry, Lon won more than thirty awards for creative advertising campaigns, illustrations and excellent design work including seven Gold and Silver Promax awards for excellence in TV advertising. He worked for Sony, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox and Saban Entertainment. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment business like, Michael Douglas, Robert Zemeckis, Sylvestor Stallone, Michael Keaton, Tom Hanks, Gene Hackman, Jane Seymour, Kathleen Turner, Barry Diller, Haim Saban and Tom Sherak.

Lon helped launch the Ellen Degeneres Show into syndication for which he won 2 Gold Promax awards, as well as creating advertising for The Tyra Banks Show, Will & Grace, The West Wing and Two and A Half Men. In 2006 Lon left Warner bros. to pursue writing and illustrating fulltime.

Since that time Lon has illustrated twenty-one books and is in the process of illustrating another seven. He has also just finished writing a definitive book on Tree houses for Globe Pequot Press. He shot more than two hundred photographs to accompany the book. It will be out later this year or early 2010.

Some of the children’s books Lon has illustrated include Harriet Zieffert’s “Small Potatoes Club” published by Blue Apple Books, Lisa Willever’s “There’s A Boy Under My Bed” which won an honorable mention for Best Children’s Book at The Hollywood Book Fair in 2008 and is up for three other Independent book Awards, Carl Emerson’s “Monster Boy” Series of six books published by Magic Wagon in 2008 and six more “Monster Boy” books coming out in 2009. He is currently writing and illustrating “Simply Surfin’” for Falcon Press. Lastly he illustrated two play booklets for Benchmark Publishing “Peter Piper” and “The King’s Pie”.

Lon has also written a Middle Grade novel “Mambowicki: The Legend of a Kahunta” and a screenplay by the same title. Currently Lon is the Vice President of The Society of Illustrator’s Los Angeles Chapter, lectures about illustration, does school visits for children and is a member of SCBWI.
