Jason grew up in the north of England, Bradford to be precise. He spent much of that time drawing an painting and the book he loved most from his childhood is Richard Scarry's 'Cars and trucks and things that go'. Following studies at Bradford and Camberwell colleges of art Jason worked in the area of editorial illustration. Working with London design agencies, he went on to produce large scale interpretation panels (educational illustrations) for permanent exhibitions at museums around the world. Jason has also illustrated greeting cards, advent calendars and books for BBC Worldwide Ltd. His interest in drawing animals (especially dogs!) was spotted by the London's famous Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and has been chosen as their official illustrator . His artwork which appeals both to adults and children features across their communications, fundraising and education departments in various outputs: fact sheets, education packs, large scale graphics/murals, animation and web. Jason has always had a passion for children's books and is currently writing and illustrating books for a London based children's publisher. He creates artwork both digitally and traditionally from his home in rural Suffolk, England where he lives with his wife, son and daughter and four black and white cats.
