Diane Greenseid's Blog

Diane Greenseid comes from a family full of silly people. She continued the tradition in elementary school by making up words, songs and dances. As an adult, she puts her love of whimsy and playfulness in her illustrations. Since 1994, she has illustrated 15 picture books such as We Had a Picnic This Sunday Past, Waynetta and the Cornstalk and Teeny Weeny Bop. Her illustrations have been included in the Society of Illustrators’ Original Art Show, as well as received honors from Bank Street College Best Children’s BooksNotable Children’s Trade Book from Children’s Book Council/National Council for Social Studies, and  nomination from Bill Martin, Jr. Award, Kansas Reading Association. She is also an elementary school librarian--a job she loves as it combines two of her most favorite things: children and books. She lives eight blocks from the beach in Venice, CA with her husband, two dogs and one cat. Visit her website at dianegreenseid.com.
